Creating a new Data Folder

(Click here for more information on when to use a second data folder

IN THE MTM PROFESSIONAL VERSION:

Click on Tools -> Data Folder. This will display your existing Data Folder. Click the Add button (plus sign) to add a new Data Folder. NB: A name must be given for this new Data Folder (next to the Name field). The name should be the name of the folder you created earlier, but starting with the first letter of the MTM Software you are using (K for Kudu, L for Loerie, R for Rhino and O for Oribi). Eg: KPrivate (Private folder, Kudu software), LCash (Cash folder, Loerie software), RWCA (WCA folder, Rhino software).

Direct the program to where you would like to make the folder in which your data will be kept by clicking the Change Path button, e.g:

C:\MTM\Kudu\Private

Click on the Make a New Folder button in the correct location & then give the new folder a name. Then click on ok. Check the path is correct. Then click Set as Current and then click OK.

You can import the ICD10 codes & Tariff codes & refering doctors list from your Previous datafolder at this point. Or you can chose not to and start off with a blank list to add new codes etc too.

Now click on Tools -> System variables, and change the menu colour (Click next to Change Menu Colour) to a different colour from your previous Data Folder, and change the last account number (Last Acc Nr.) to a different number (e.g.8000) to avoid confusion and to differentiate between the two Data Folders. Fill in the name and monthend date for this folder. If you are using EDI then you should set the system ID to a number given to you by datamax, as you will need to advise them that you are now using a second datafolder & will need to setup a second mailbox with them.

To work between the two data folders, just click on Tools -> Data Folder, select which one you want to use, click Set as Current and click OK.
