The Additional Modules for the Made To Measure Medical Accounting Software add optional - but often highly recommended - capabilities to the software.

The modules available for the Professional version -

Multi Therapist
For practices with many therapists
EDI
Electronically sends accounts to Medical Aids
Network
For practices with two or more networked computers.
NAPPI Codes
For billing consumables to Medical Aids

Dentistry

For complex billing of lab slips & tooth numbers

Surgery / Anaesthetics

For complex functions required by these practice types.

Multi-Therapist

  • Every transaction marked with a "Therapist" Identification
  • This gives comprehensive statistics on separate therapists working in the practice, including number and value of treatments, payments, etc. and number of new patients per therapist. Graphs can be printed.

Note: The software (both Millennium and Professional) is registered to your PR number. However, within this restriction, you may run as many sets of books as you like. In addition to being able to run the software on different computers, it is possible to create - on the same computer - seperate data folders for different sub-practices. For example, some users wish to keep their private and WCA patients completely seperate.

Also, if you have a locum you will be able to differentiate his/her treatments. ALL THIS IS AVAILABLE WITHOUT THE MULTI-THERAPIST MODULE.

The purpose of this module is to cater for practices in which two or more therapists routinely work under the same PR number.
The module supplies comprehensive statistics with regard to work done by different therapists, lists which can be checked and a means of determining fees due to them.

EDI

  • Allows claims to be submitted to Medical Aids electronically via EDI for improved cash-flow.
  • You will need to register with Datamax who will charge at 1 % (or 0.5% Specialists) fee for doing the actual transmission to Medical Aids. (Pricing is subject to change please ocntact them to confirm).

EDI stands for "Electronic Data Interface", and is rapidly becoming the only way in which practices can submit their claims directly to Medical Aids, as most are becoming increasingly reluctant to accept paper claims.

What is Invloved
1. You need to have the EDI module installed into the software. This allows batches of claims to be created.

2. You need to have a modem installed in your computer and a telephone line (Internet access is not neccessary)

3. You need to register with a Service Provider (preferably Datamax - see the Support page). They will do the actual transmission of claims to the Medical Aids and will charge 1% (0.5% for Specialists) of the value for their service. They will validate your claims before sending them, and therefore avoid sending claims that have incorrect Medical Aid numbers, patient info etc. Their speedy feedback ensures that no time is wasted in correcting and re-submitting a bad claim.

In summary, claims are sent from the EDI module via your phone line to a service provider. They validate the claims and send them on to the Medical Aids, saving time and increasing cash-flow.

Network

  • Allows the software to be used by two or more people at the same time on two or more linked computers

NAPPI Codes

  • Maintains a list of relevant Nappi codes so that consumables and equipment can be invoiced for Medical Aid purposes.

Dentistry

  • Allows Dentists to specify tooth numbers on invoices and also provide detailed lab slip information.

Anaesthetics / Surgery

  • Allows Anaesthetists/ Surgeons to bill complex theatre-time based calculations with various special modifiers as well as Assitant fees.
